An unnamed girl goes to bed, only to find herself paralysed by an ever increasing number of terrifying nightmares that have their roots in the superstitions deeply embedded in her unconscious. Drawing on beliefs and traditions spanning cultures and the Jungian shadow archetype, the film explores her attempts at waking and a deeper awakening.
